Princess Bubblegum is said to be eighteen years old and literally made of gum. She rules over her candy subjects in the Candy Kingdom. She knows each of them by name and can call a town meeting in a very short amount of time. She is a scientist who conducts experiments in her spare time. Finn and Jake were raised in the same family. Finn came into Jake's family when Jake's parents found Finn in the woods alone and crying. Finn was raised by them and grew up with Jake as his brother. Jake is apparently twenty-three years old and Finn is now about fourteen in the series at this point. Marceline Aberdeen is the daughter of Hunson Aberdeen and a human woman whos name is not mentioned nor her picture shown in clear view. Marceline is over one thousand years old. She is really a half demon, half human hybrid. She was bitten by a vampire sometime during her childhood. In the episode "Simon and Marcy," she is seen without the bite mark on her neck but in "Memory of a Memory," she is seen with the bite mark. The specific vampire that has bitten her is also a mystery. She does not mention ever being bitten in the past and somehow "knows" how to turn people into vampires as seen in "Heat Signature."
